Saliima, Instructor
Saliima’s first dance teacher was her mother. Her mother awakened her love for music and dance by teaching and encouraging her to delight in the joy of movement. Saliima studied dance in the public schools she attended in Durham, NC before moving on to study Dance Education at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She has studied Modern, African, Contact Improvisation, Brazilian, Swing, Salsa, Hip Hop, Belly dancing, Ballroom dancing and Choreography. She has been teaching kids and adults since 2000 and has both taught and performed throughout the state. As part of her dance education, Saliima spent a year teaching and studying dance in Vancouver, Canada. Saliima grew up overseas and continued to travel through her college years feeding her passion and fascination with the essential, healing role of music and dance in families and communities around the world.

Tijana, Instructor
Tijana was born in Serbia, ex Yugoslavia where she studied dance at a very early age. She started performing on stage at the age of seven, and at the age of eighteen, she moved to Portugal and became part of the Lisbon Players Theatre where she performed in many stage productions, such as Beggars Opera and Thurber’s Carnival. In early 1992 she moved to Brussels, Belgium and joined Ankh Arte, a modern dance and art company, which whom she performed until arriving in the U.S. in 1994. Tijana began teaching Ballroom dance in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While in Albuquerque, she competed in the five American Style Dances. Teaching Ballroom became the final stage in her dance career. Tijana has been teaching dance for 12 years and she continues to teach and perform today at Let’s Dance Studio in Cary.

Kiley, Instructor
Kiley has been teaching Ballroom dance for five years. He began dancing while in college and has also studied abroad. His love for dancing later took him to new heights, performing in musical theatre productions throughout North Carolina and Florida. Some of his key roles were Benny Southstreet in Guys and Dolls, Barnaby Tucker in Hello Dolly, and Jerry/Daphne in Sugar a/k/a Some Like It Hot, the Musical--(For those familiar with the movie, this was the cross-dressing character played by Jack Lemmon: thus, Kiley has literally walked a mile in the shoes of female students)
In addition to being a ballroom dance instructor, Kiley also owns Hunk O’ Love Productions, providing entertainment services including his “Remember the King” Elvis tribute shows, as well as DJ, Emcee, and Event planning. Check out his website-- www.home.earthlink.net/~hunkolove --for more information on upcoming shows and event services.
